Orwellian Opinions: The Language of Power and the Power of Language

Abstract In 1984 and other writings, George Orwell explored the language of power language. As illustrations abuses he identified, this essay analyzes a pair famous constitutional opinions, Justice Brown's Plessy v. Ferguson Douglas’ Griswold Connecticut .
